Top trader Eugene: has closed all positions, not sure $60,000 can be held
Top trader Eugene Ng Ah Sio posted on the X platform, “For the sake of some people providing updates on how to deal with losses in real time, I recently experienced two retracements while trading perpetual contracts and a larger retracement in spot trading due to the recent price action. The first trading error was due to a lack of discipline in executing my ETHBTC trade and closing a short BTC position too early. I ended up closing out my long ETH position for a net loss of $1.1 million on two trading pairs. While avoiding some pain, I decided to go long yesterday after the market crashed on Friday. However, the market clearly did not reward this decision and the spot price continued to fall to 60k. the entire account lost about 3-4%, totaling $750k, and I have closed all positions. After this, it became clear to me that the unknown had increased. Although the risk-reward ratio of buying support is usually better than chasing momentum, I am not sure if 60k will hold. Additionally, I felt an emotional imbalance for the first time in some time and decided to stay away from trading for the next few days to adjust my mindset. It's not always easy, but we'll regroup and move on.”
