New Hyperledger Lab Zeto Launches Ethernet Privacy Solution
Hyperledger's new lab, Zeto, has launched an open-source privacy solution designed to address enterprise privacy concerns on the Ether blockchain.Developed by Kaleido, Zeto utilizes Zero-Knowledge Proof (ZKP) technology to provide multiple levels of privacy protection for Ether by introducing a Bitcoin-like token design. This includes privacy features ranging from anonymizing senders and receivers to hiding transaction amounts and history. The emergence of Zeto responds to institutional interest in licensed versions of Ether, particularly in projects such as the Central Bank of Brazil's Digital Currency (CBDC) project, DREX, where privacy concerns have led to delays.Zeto's unique design is similar to Bitcoin's UTXO model, and, unlike Ether's legacy ERC-20 token standard, offers a higher level of privacy protection for enterprise users.
