Maker has been renamed to Sky and launched its native governance token SKY
The DeFi lending protocol Maker has officially announced its rebranding to Sky, along with the names of its upgraded stablecoin and native governance token. As part of the brand overhaul, Maker is renaming DAI as USDS. In addition, the protocol has launched Sky (SKY), an upgraded version of the MKR token. As part of this rebranding effort, Maker SubDAO will be renamed Sky Stars, maintaining its independent identity as a decentralized project and connecting to the Sky ecosystem through their unique business models and autonomy. The first SubDAO to go live is Spark, an open-source decentralized liquidity protocol that currently offers a 6% yield for users depositing DAI tokens while allowing users to borrow USDS at a rate of 7%.
