The first hearing on September 10 will focus on DeFi, a hearing about SEC enforcement and "pig-butchering" scams will be held on September 18, and the full committee hearing on September 23 will involve testimony from the SEC, expected to discuss digital asset regulation prominently. Committee Chairman Patrick McHenry is set to retire soon and has expressed his hope to complete a piece of cryptocurrency legislation before year's end.
