ChatGPT is expected to release its next-generation model by the end of the year, with performance 100 times better than GPT-4
September 5th news, at the recent KDDI Summit, Tadao Nagasaki, CEO of OpenAI's Japanese subsidiary, revealed that the performance of OpenAI's new generation model codenamed "GPT-Next" is expected to be 100 times stronger than the existing GPT-4 model and plans to release it later this year. The improvement in GPT-Next model performance is due to its optimized architectural design and improved learning efficiency rather than simply relying on massive computing resources. He also revealed that there are currently less than 2000 employees worldwide at OpenAI, about half of whom focus on AI development. Major clients of OpenAI include Apple Inc., Coca-Cola and biotech giant Moderna.
