Billionaire John Paulson predicts that the Federal Reserve will lower interest rates to 2.5% by the end of 2025
ChainCatcher news, billionaire investor John Paulson predicts that the Federal Reserve will lower interest rates to as low as 2.5% by the end of 2025. Paulson stated that the Fed has been slow in cutting rates and will take measures to reduce them in the coming months. In an interview with Bloomberg TV, he estimated that the federal funds rate could drop to 3%, or even 2.5%, next year. He pointed out that maintaining high real interest rates (the gap between bond yields and current inflation) means that the Fed is lagging behind in easing monetary policy. Finally, he emphasized that comments on economic policy by the President and Treasury Secretary are crucial.
