BREAKING: Telegram Removes Information That Was Stating Chats Are Confidential and Not Shared with Authorities from Its Website
Privacy-focused messaging app Telegram has removed important privacy statements from its website. Here are the details.
According to the latest information, the privacy-focused sections that were previously included in Telegram's frequently asked questions (FAQ) section have now been removed from the official website.
The following information has now been removed from the frequently asked questions section:
“All Telegram chats and group chats are private between their participants. We do not process any requests related to them.”
The development comes after Telegram CEO Pavel Durov was arrested and then released upon arriving in France. A few hours earlier, Durov had posted a message on Telegram, hinting that he was ready to cooperate with the authorities.
