The EU regulatory body expects stablecoin standards to be announced before the end of the year
A spokesperson for the European Banking Authority stated that standards regulating how stablecoin issuers such as Tether and Circle operate within the European Union (EU) are likely to be officially introduced before the end of the year. These are included in the 15 technical standards submitted by EBA to the EU executive body, the European Commission, which were jointly developed by EBA and the European Securities and Markets Authority (ESMA).
