According to The Block, Andrew Vranjes, Head of International and Vice President of Blockdaemon, said that Hong Kong regulators could approve a pledge feature for spot ethereum ETFs within this year. The Blockdaemon team is currently working closely with Hong Kong-based spot crypto ETF issuers and local regulators to develop a viable pledging solution, Vranjes said, noting that the pledging feature is expected to be approved “within a specific framework,” and could be the first to be opened up to qualified investors. He added that the team has made progress and expects an announcement to be made soon.
