ZK rollup Scroll integrates Chainlink’s CCIP for cross-chain token transfers and interoperability
Quick Take Zero-knowledge rollup Scroll has integrated Chainlink Cross-Chain Interoperability Protocol (CCIP). Chainlink’s CCIP offers developers the tools to build secure applications that enable token transfers, messaging and action initiation across multiple blockchains.

Zero-knowledge rollup Scroll has integrated Chainlink Cross-Chain Interoperability Protocol (CCIP). Native access to CCIP will enable developers to build secure and novel decentralized applications on Scroll while expanding the multi-chain ecosystem, according to a press release shared with The Block on Thursday.
Scroll selected CCIP as its preferred interoperability solution because Chainlink has "the most proven track record of maintaining the highest standard of security and reliability in the blockchain industry," the company said.
"Chainlink CCIP is an industry standard, and Scroll’s integration here provides our developers with scalable, secure, and flexible infrastructure, enhancing our builders’ ability to develop even better cross-chain applications,” said Scroll co-founder Sandy Peng. "With its level-5 security and battle-tested infrastructure, CCIP strengthens Scroll’s interoperability across ecosystems in a highly secure way without compromising on user experience."
Scroll is a scaling solution for Ethereum that leverages zero-knowledge proofs to enhance Ethereum’s capacity and performance. By building a Layer 2 rollup network, Scroll improves accessibility and responsiveness and can support many users.
“L2s like Scroll are essential for their ability to ease congestion and increase the efficiency of the Ethereum ecosystem as a whole,” said Johann Eid, Chief Business Officer at Chainlink Labs. “In August of last year, Scroll joined the Chainlink Scale program, and in November, Chainlink Data Feeds went live on Scroll. The addition of CCIP for cross-chain enablement is an exciting moment and the logical next step in our work together, building for the benefit of our industry.”
