Van Eck: Institutional Investor Participation Remains Low Despite EUR2 Billion Cryptocurrency ETP in Europe
Van Eck cryptocurrency ETPs in Europe have now reached €2 billion, but a large portion of that comes from individual investors, with low participation from institutional investors, and no allocations from wealth management firms, who haven't even started to move yet, VanEck CEO Jan van Eck said in an interview on Oct. 20, adding that the company's cryptocurrency ETPs in Europe have now reached €2 billion. Furthermore, Jan van Eck claims that very few private banks have actually approved investments in Bitcoin or Ether, and there are no other major initiatives in crypto-assets.Van Eck reveals that at this stage the firm has 12 token-based products trading in the European market.
