AI chatbot Truth Terminal reaches $1 million in crypto
Truth Terminal, an AI chatbot, has accumulated over $1 million in cryptocurrency, primarily due to its association with the meme coin GOAT (CRYPTO:GOAT) on the Solana (CRYPTO:SOL) blockchain.
Created by AI researcher Andy Ayrey, the chatbot operates autonomously, generating content and managing its social media accounts without human assistance.
The AI gained attention in July 2024 after venture capitalist Marc Andreessen contributed $50,000 worth of Bitcoin to the project.
Following this, an anonymous developer created the GOAT meme coin on Solana, with Truth Terminal playing a role in promoting the token.
This involvement sparked significant interest, pushing the GOAT coin’s market value to more than $400 million.
As a result, Truth Terminal’s crypto wallet, which holds 1.93 million GOAT tokens, saw its value rise to $832,000.
Additional donations from the crypto community brought the wallet’s value to over $1 million in a short time.
According to BitMEX founder Arthur Hayes, the GOAT token has the potential to reach a $1 billion market cap, highlighting the intersection of AI, meme coin culture, and religious themes as driving factors.
Hayes remarked, “Anon are you really fading AI + memecoin + religion?” emphasizing the unexpected success of such combinations in the market.
Despite its growing popularity, Ayrey clarified that Truth Terminal is not a cryptocurrency project but rather a study in "memetic contagion" and how ideas spread in the digital age.
The AI chatbot has since gained over 90,000 followers on social media and continues to draw attention across various platforms.
