Opinion: If Harris is elected, it's unlikely she will approve ETFs for other cryptocurrencies like XRP, SOL etc

Two ETF experts suggest that if Democratic presidential candidate Harris wins the election in November, XRP and SOL ETF applications may not yield results. Bloomberg senior ETF analyst Eric Balchunas said: "If Harris wins, no matter who the issuer is, it will not be approved." Some industry experts believe that when asset management giant BlackRock joins the competition to launch Bitcoin and Ethereum ETFs, it greatly increases their chances of SEC approval - although it's currently unclear how much influence BlackRock actually has.

Balchunas stated that if former President Trump wins the election, regardless of whether BlackRock joins Bitwise, VanEck and other companies hoping to extend cryptocurrency ETFs beyond BTC and ETH, there would be a "fairly large chance" for more cryptocurrency ETFs to emerge.

Nate Geraci, president of The ETF Store agrees with this view. He said: "The Harris administration seems unlikely to approve additional spot crypto ETFs, at least not soon after the election."
