DRW Venture founder: Some U.S. lawmakers and regulators are hostile to cryptocurrencies
Don Wilson, founder of DRW Venture Capital, said in an interview with Coindesk that some legislators and regulators, such as Senator Elizabeth Warren, hold hostile attitudes towards cryptocurrencies. DRW's legal advisor, Chelsea Pizzola, also stated that the company's attempt to register its crypto brokerage firm, Cumberland Securities LLC, with FINRA (also responsible for regulating the US market) was rejected. The company is not the only one that has tried to register and acquire brokerage firms and has been trying to comply with regulations for many years. They have made sincere attempts to contact SEC traders and market staff.
