Traders predict that the Federal Reserve will stop after cutting interest rates twice next year
As the results of the US presidential election were gradually released on Tuesday night, traders reduced their bets on a Federal Reserve rate cut next year. Interest rate futures traders continue to bet that the Fed will cut rates by 25 basis points each in this week and December, but now expect that the Fed may stop cutting rates after two 25-basis-point cuts in the first half of 2025, bringing the target range for federal funds rate down to 3.75%-4%.
