The Bitcoin mailing list and its history have been removed from Linux

The Bitcoin mailing list and its history have been removed from Linux

Bitget2024/11/06 11:04

PANews reported on November 6th, according to Protos, the migration work of the "Bitcoin Mailing List" has been completed. Bitcoin core developers have permanently deleted its archives from the open-source platform of the Linux Foundation. Visitors to the original homepage of this archive will now only see an error message: "There is no list named bitcoin-dev." Part of the reason for this action was that the Linux Foundation announced that they would stop providing mailing list hosting services from the end of 2023.

Bitcoin developer Bryan Bishop has now uploaded historical records of all other Bitcoin development record-keeping systems including SourceForge.net and OSUOSL as well as Linux to Google Groups. For visitors who encounter errors when trying to retrieve historical emails from Linux, it is recommended that they enter their URL into Archive.org's WayBack Machine. This tool has recorded many web pages once hosted on Linux, which documented emails between Bitcoin developers.
