After U.S. CPI release: probability of Fed cutting rates by 25 bps in December rises to 75.7 percent
November 13, according to the CME “Fed Watch”: the probability that the Fed will keep current interest rates unchanged by December is 24.3%, and the probability of a cumulative 25 basis points of interest rate cuts is 75.7% (37.9%, 62.1% before the release of the CPI, respectively). The probability of keeping the current rate unchanged by next January is 16.5%, the probability of a cumulative 25 basis point cut is 59.2%, and the probability of a cumulative 50 basis point cut is 24.3%. (26.5%, 54.9% and 18.6% respectively before CPI announcement).
