Crypto research institute: giant whale who created a large number of 50 BTC wallets each in 2010 may be Satoshi Nakamoto
Bitcoin research firm BTCparser said in a recently published article that a large number of bitcoin wallet addresses were created in 2010, each holding 50 bitcoins, and that these addresses were not transferred until their first ‘activation’ in November 2019, which the article dubbed the ‘The Giant Whale of 2010’. The theory suggests that Satoshi Nakamoto owns these wallets and has been slowly selling off his holdings while deliberately leaving the 2009 wallets alone to avoid drawing attention to them, ‘which leads me to suspect that the mysterious 2010 whale may actually be Satoshi Nakamoto.’ However, BTCparser emphasises that this is a ‘theory, not a conclusion’.
