The Thanksgiving market trading atmosphere tends to be flat, overall maintaining a narrow range of consolidation

The Thanksgiving market trading atmosphere tends to be flat, overall maintaining a narrow range of consolidation

On Thursday, the U.S. financial market was quiet and liquidity was weak due to Thanksgiving holiday. After a significant pullback as some investors took profits, Bitcoin rebounded strongly yesterday, bouncing back to $97,200 at one point and reporting $96,382 at the time of writing. It continued to fluctuate around the $95,000 mark with a slight increase of 0.68% in the past 24 hours.

Ethereum has been performing strongly recently; its price broke through $3,684 yesterday setting a new high for over five months and leading other tokens in its ecosystem to rise broadly. L2 and DeFi sectors performed well indicating that we may be entering an altcoin season officially. Currently Ethereum is fluctuating between $3,500~$3,600 after reaching highs then pulling back; it reported at $3,564 before deadline with a decrease of 1.6% in 24 hours.

In terms of major foreign exchange currencies: The dollar index rose back up to 106.21 on Thursday after falling to a two-week low during previous trading day while Euro fell against Dollar as traders reduced bets on further interest rate cuts by European Central Bank (ECB). Overall forex market performance was lackluster due to US holiday period.
Gold prices increased amid geopolitical uncertainty and trade concerns boosting demand for safe-haven assets whereas oil prices rose on Thursday supported by situation between Israel & Lebanon along with news about delay in OPEC+ meeting which helped both WTI Crude Oil & Brent Crude Oil reach intra-day highs rising more than 0.8%.

Due to impact from Thanksgiving holiday period overall trading atmosphere tended towards being subdued which also greatly reduced possibility for various asset prices breaking out from their current range-bound fluctuations within market.
