Several Democratic lawmakers in the United States received bomb threats signed "MAGA" on Thanksgiving

PANews reported on November 30th that Hakeem Jeffries, the leader of the Democratic Party in the U.S. House of Representatives, stated that during Thanksgiving, party members were subjected to "violent threats", including bomb warnings and attempts to deceive law enforcement agencies by falsely reporting emergencies.

Before this incident, nominees for Donald Trump's cabinet had also encountered similar events. The incidents involving Democratic Party members included "detailed threats about placing pipe bombs in mailboxes and attempts to trick special police forces into responding; all information ended with 'MAGA'," Jeffries said in a statement on Friday. The "MAGA" he referred to is Trump's political slogan "Make America Great Again". Jeffries stated that due to the swift response from law enforcement agencies, no devices were found and congressmen and their families remained unharmed during the holiday period. Some Democratic representatives from Connecticut claimed they were targeted during these Thanksgiving incidents, including Jim Himes, Rosa DeLauro and Jahana Hayes. They posted received threats on social media platform X.
