Encryption company Zama launches a tool that can build private applications on any EVM chain
On December 6, the crypto company Zama launched a tool called fhEVM coprocessor on Ethereum's Sepolia testnet. This tool is said to enable developers to create confidential smart contracts on any blockchain. The fhEVM coprocessor plans to fully launch on the main network in mid-2025. Zama CEO Rand Hindi stated: "The implementation of the native protocol of fhEVM has facilitated the creation of important blockchain infrastructure that can coordinate blockchain transparency and enhance privacy needs. This version allows developers to deploy confidential smart contracts on any blockchains that do not support FHE (Fully Homomorphic Encryption)." Key innovations of this tool include maintaining processable encrypted data while keeping blockchain composability and programmable privacy control. (Cointelegraph)
