11.25 million LINK were unlocked and transferred from three Chainlink non-circulating supply addresses, equivalent to approximately $258.14 million
According to on-chain analyst Yu Jin, the quarterly Chainlink unlock occurred 3 hours ago, with 11.25 million LINK (worth $2.5814 billion) transferred out from 3 non-circulating supply addresses of Chainlink.
Of these, 10.625 million LINK (worth $2.4382 billion) were transferred to Binance, and 0.625 million LINK (worth $14.32 million) were transferred to the 0xD50...8Af multisig address.
Every three months, around 10-20 million LINK from Chainlink's non-circulating supply addresses are unlocked.
Most of these are directly transferred to Binance, while a small portion is transferred to the 0xD50...8Af address (the LINK transferred to this address enters the LINK staking reward distribution contract, which is used to reward staking users).
Since 2022, approximately 144.65 million LINK ($1.548 billion) have been unlocked and flowed into Binance through the above method, with an average transfer price of $10.7.
Although a large amount of LINK is unlocked and flows into Binance quarterly, it has not had a significant impact on the LINK price after each transfer to Binance.
