Elon Musk said he would be extremely disappointed if this did not happen. Where did the information come from that Sam Bankman-Fried could be pardoned? In early December, Politico journalists reported, citing their sources, that the White House was considering early pardons for several former and current officials who could become targets of persecution by Trump's team.

These include, among others, Adam Schiff, Liz Cheney, and Anthony Fauci. The publication emphasized that Biden himself was not directly involved in these negotiations. How did Sam Bankman-Fried end up on this list?

The fact is that Bankman-Fried was the second largest donor to the US Democratic Party and met with Biden's advisers several times before the stock exchange's bankruptcy.

Apparently, Elon Musk believes that since Sam Bankman-Fried was a major donor to the Democratic Party, Biden is obligated to take this into account and pardon him before he leaves office.
