Bitget announces it will merge BWB and replace it with BGB, while simultaneously removing all token services related to BWB
According to the official announcement, Bitget announced that it will support the merger and token swap of Bitget Wallet Token (BWB) and Bitget Token (BGB) at 16:00 on December 27, 2024 (UTC+8), and delist BWB/USDT spot trading pairs and related services. The token swap will be based on the average closing price for seven days from December 19 to December 25, 2024. The average price of BWB is 0.3934 USDT, BGB's average price is 4.5940 USDT, with an exchange ratio of 1 BWB = 0.08563 BGB. After the swap is completed, BWBs in user accounts will be recycled and destroyed, and BGBs will be airdropped proportionally; this merger does not affect the total issuance volume of BGB without any new tokens added.
