Dollar index rises 0.13% on Dec. 30
The U.S. dollar index, a measure of the greenback against six major currencies, rose 0.13% on the day, closing at 108.132 at the end of the currency market. Yen 157.94 yen for 1 U.S. dollar, down from 157.94 yen in the previous session; 0.9040 Swiss francs for 1 U.S. dollar, up from 0.9018 Swiss francs in the previous session; 1.4359 Canadian dollars for 1 U.S. dollar, down from 1.4411 Canadian dollars in the previous session; 11.0249 Swedish kronor for 1 U.S. dollar, up from 11.0011 Swedish kronor in the previous session.
