Chicago Mercantile Exchange: The average daily trading volume of crypto contracts in 2024 increased by 203% annually
The CME Group has released market statistics, predicting that the average daily trading volume for derivatives will reach 26.5 million contracts in 2024. Among these, the average daily trading volume of cryptocurrency increased by 203%, reaching approximately 117,000 contracts ($6.8 billion), including:
1) The annual average daily trading volume of Micro Bitcoin futures reached 48,000 contracts;
2) The annual average daily trading volume of Micro Ethereum futures reached 41,000 contracts;
3) The annual average daily trading volume of Bitcoin futures reached 16,000 contracts;
4) The annual average daily trading volume of Ethereum futures reached 6,400 contracts.
