The US SEC Chairman, Gary Gensler, previously announced that he will leave office on January 20, 2025. Donald Trump, the elected Republican president, stated on the Truth Social platform that he will nominate Paul Atkins to be the chairman of the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC).
