Indian crypto exchange CoinSwitch launches $70 million recovery fund for WazirX hack victims
Indian cryptocurrency exchange platform CoinSwitch has announced the launch of the $69.9 million WazirX hacker attack recovery fund "CoinSwitch Cares", aimed at helping WazirX users who lost funds due to a network attack in July 2024.
As part of the plan, CoinSwitch will allocate funds to affected users over a period of two years to promote the development of the Indian crypto ecosystem. According to official data from CoinSwitch Cares, any user affected by WazirX security vulnerabilities can apply for funds through the program.
