Launchnodes Reveals It Paid Lido 2.657 ETH For Losses After 20 Hours Of Node Failure
The engineering team of node operator Launchnodes has disclosed to the Lido community that one of Launchnodes' servers located in a “bare metal” data center in South Africa suffered a server outage of approximately 20 hours and 40 minutes on December 31, 2024 IST, which was determined to be due to a hardware failure in the data center's network cables, which was resolved by replacing the cables. The issue was resolved after the network cable was replaced. The total financial impact to the Agreement was calculated to be 2.657 ETH, which was transferred from Launchnodes to the Lido Executive Incentive Vault.
