Kenya is preparing legislation to legalize cryptocurrency

Kenya bans the use of cryptocurrencies, but they are still widely used underground by the public to evade restrictions. In outlining the new policy, Mbadi said: "The emergence and development of virtual assets and virtual asset service providers have brought innovation to local and international financial systems, bringing vibrant opportunities and challenges."
