US SEC is still moving forward with appeal of ruling in Ripple case
the US SEC seems to be advancing its current series of law enforcement cases being heard in court. Ripple's Chief Legal Officer Stuart Alderoty and X posted a statement saying that the SEC will not delay submitting a brief, which is part of its move against Ripple's ruling appeal. Alderoty said, "This is a complete waste of time and taxpayer money. Nonetheless, we remain confident in our position on the appeal and look forward to working with the new leadership of the SEC to resolve this matter." Ripple CEO Brad Garlinghouse agrees with Alderoty's statement, suggesting that the SEC's attitude towards cryptocurrency enforcement may change after President Trump's inauguration on January 20th.
