Report: South Korea plans to introduce new cryptocurrency law in the second half of 2025
According to local news agencies, South Korea has officially begun discussions on the second part of the cryptocurrency regulatory framework and plans to draft legislation in the second half of this year.
As reported by South Korean news media "Edaily", the Financial Services Commission of South Korea held a meeting on Wednesday, outlining the main tasks that will be involved in the upcoming bill.
The Vice Chairman of the Financial Services Commission, Kim So-young, mentioned at the meeting that major economies around the world are accelerating their development of cryptocurrency regulations to ensure investor protection and eliminate regulatory uncertainty.
