The U.S. SEC is ready to immediately advance cryptocurrency policy reform after Trump takes office
According to Reuters, three informed sources stated that senior Republican officials of the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) are preparing to start reforming the agency's cryptocurrency policy as early as next week after Trump takes office. Two of these insiders indicated that Commissioners Hester Peirce and Mark Uyeda are considering measures including initiating relevant procedures, ultimately formulating guidance or rules clarifying under what circumstances the agency will consider cryptocurrencies as securities, and reviewing some ongoing cryptocurrency enforcement cases in court.
