On January 17th, Bitlayer, the first Bitcoin Layer 2 solution built on the BitVM paradigm, officially announced the release of the Finality Bridge, the first minimal trust BTC bridge powered by BitVM technology. Finality Bridge is built on BitVM technology and has high security, native yield support, and programmability. It allows users to securely mint BTC into YBTC (Yield BTC) tokens in a minimal trust manner, and participate in DeFi scenarios such as liquidity mining, staking, or borrowing in Bitlayer and other blockchain ecosystems, without worrying about complex conversion processes or high transaction costs, and obtain diversified integrated income. Currently, Bitlayer Finality Bridge has been launched on the testnet and supports user login and usage. The team will soon launch more new features.
