Italy's largest bank, IntesaSanpaolo, has purchased Bitcoin worth one million euros
According to crowdfundinsider, Italy's largest banking group, Intesa Sanpaolo, has purchased 11 bitcoins worth about one million euros. This is the first time an Italian bank has directly held Bitcoin. This move coincides with the implementation of the EU's "Crypto Asset Market Regulation Act" (MiCA). As Italy's largest banking group, Intesa Sanpaolo's decision to buy Bitcoin could influence other European banks to follow suit and encourage institutions to adopt cryptocurrencies more widely.
