Cardano plans AI integration after Midnight network launch

Charles Hoskinson, the founder of Cardano (CRYPTO:ADA), has revealed plans to explore the integration of artificial intelligence (AI) into the Cardano ecosystem.

This initiative would involve utilising large language models (LLMs) to enhance decentralised applications (dApps) and smart contracts.

In a recent exchange with a community member on X, Hoskinson acknowledged the potential benefits of AI integration but emphasised that it will not occur immediately.

The suggestion for AI incorporation came from a community member named Hieronymus, who proposed using LLMs to power Cardano’s Layer-2 structure.

Experts believe that such integration could lead to increased network activity and transaction volume, which may positively impact the value of ADA, Cardano's native token.

If successful, Cardano could establish itself as a hub for decentralised AI, attracting new developers and funding opportunities.

However, Hoskinson clarified that the focus on AI will only begin once the Midnight Network is fully deployed.

The Midnight protocol is currently open to public collaboration and aims to foster innovation in privacy and data protection technologies.

Developers who engage with this network early may gain a competitive advantage in creating advanced solutions for the Cardano ecosystem.

The potential for AI to enhance dApps and smart contracts represents a significant milestone for the blockchain space.

Hoskinson's comments reflect an understanding of the challenges associated with integrating AI into blockchain technology, including scalability and data quality control.

As Cardano moves forward with its plans, stakeholders are closely monitoring these developments for their implications on the broader market.

At the time of reporting, the Cardano (ADA) price was $0.7442.
