Elon Musk posted on a social platform, clarifying that the Government Efficiency Department (DOGE) team and the U.S. Department of the Treasury jointly recognized the following reasonable measures:

1. All government expenditure must have a payment classification code, which is necessary for financial audits.

2. All payments must include a payment reason in the remarks section, which is typically left blank.

3. For entities known to be involved in fraudulent activities, deceased individuals, potential terrorist organizations, or cases inconsistent with congressional allocations, the “No Payments” list must be strictly enforced and cannot be ignored.

He emphasized that these necessary reforms are being implemented by long-term staff at the Treasury Department, not the Government Efficiency Department.
