Musk: No Intention to Acquire TikTok, Prefers Building Companies from Scratch
On February 9, according to Fortune, Elon Musk shared his thoughts on the rumored TikTok acquisition for the first time during a conference hosted by Germany's Axel Springer. Musk stated that he has not made an offer to acquire TikTok and has no plans to do so. He mentioned that he personally does not use TikTok and said, "I’m not keen on acquiring TikTok. I generally prefer building companies from scratch."
Previously, reports suggested that Chinese officials were assessing the possibility of Musk acquiring TikTok’s U.S. operations. If TikTok fails to successfully navigate the ban, Musk’s X platform might take over its U.S. business.
