SIMD-96 now live at Solana, full priority fee for verifiers
PANews, Feb 12 (Reuters) - SIMD-96 is now live at Solana, reports SolanaFloor. It changes the priority fee mechanism from a 50-50 split (where 50 percent is destroyed and 50 percent is allocated to verifiers) to a new model where 100 percent of the fee is allocated directly to verifiers.
This follows the news in May last year that the Solana Eco SIMD-0096 proposal was passed and implementation on the Solana mainnet is expected to take a few months.
