The Highway Patrol Association of Wyoming, USA is exploring the inclusion of Bitcoin in its balance sheet
According to Cryptonews, the Wyoming Highway Workers Union in the United States announced that it is exploring incorporating Bitcoin into its balance sheet. The Wyoming Highway Patrol Association (WHPA) has launched an initiative called "Get Off Zero" in collaboration with Proof of Workforce. This initiative could become the first law enforcement association in the U.S. to hold Bitcoin on its balance sheet. The "Get Off Zero" campaign focuses on cryptocurrency investment and encourages organizations to allocate a small portion of their portfolios to Bitcoin. Established in 1974, WHPA provides support and resources for its patrol officers, dispatchers, port-of-entry officials, and civilian staff members. Through the "Get Off Zero" initiative, members of this organization can learn how digital asset ecosystems work. Proof of Workforce is a non-profit organization providing free Bitcoin education for workers, unions, pension funds and municipal authorities. Dom Bei, founder of Proof of Workforce reported that this “could set a precedent for other law enforcement associations in America.”
