VanEck Advisor: Tether currently holds about 5.3 billion US dollars in precious metals and 7.8 billion US dollars in Bitcoin

Odaily Planet Daily reports that Tether strategist and VanEck advisor Gabor Gurbacs stated on platform X that the latest certification report for Tether shows it holds about 5.3 billion dollars in precious metals and 7.8 billion dollars in Bitcoin. This could be one of the greatest bulk commodity hedge trades in history, contributing to Tether's over-collateralization.
