Data: Bitcoin mining contributes $4.1 billion in output to the U.S. economy each year and creates 31,000 jobs
The latest report from the Perryman Group shows that the Bitcoin mining industry creates over $4.1 billion in total output and 31,000 jobs for the US economy each year. The report points out that Texas is the state benefiting most from Bitcoin mining activities, with an annual economic contribution of $1.7 billion and creating more than 12,200 jobs. Georgia and New York respectively contribute $316.8 million and $225.9 million to the annual total output. It is reported that currently, about 40% of global Bitcoin computing power is in the United States.
