Fed's Goolsbee: PCE data unlikely to be as alarming as CPI data
On 20 February, Gold Ten reported that Fed Goolsbee said that the PCE data is unlikely to be as alarming as the CPI data, and that the path to 2% inflation looks good until new uncertainties emerge. If tariffs cause inflation to move higher, the Fed will take that into account, and we've entered what looks like a period of stable full employment, with the labour market still quite strong.
