Bloomberg: Circle CEO calls for US dollar stablecoin issuers to register and operate in the United States
According to Bloomberg, Circle co-founder Jeremy Allaire said that issuers of digital tokens pegged to the dollar should register and operate in the United States. It is reported that in February this year, Republican Senator Bill Hagerty proposed a bill aimed at establishing a regulatory system for US-backed stablecoins.
In an interview with Bloomberg, Jeremy Allaire explained: Operating a dollar-pegged stablecoin should not be a free pass. Whether it's offshore companies or those headquartered elsewhere, if you want to offer dollar stablecoins in the United States, you need to register in the United States just like we have to register elsewhere.
