Pundit Says XRP Will Recover Quickly If Donald Trump Takes This Action

Pundit Says XRP Will Recover Quickly If Donald Trump Takes This Action

In a recent post on X, the crypto enthusiast known as XRPcryptowolf (@XRPcryptowolf) asserted that if U.S. President Donald Trump aims to rejuvenate the cryptocurrency market, he should instruct the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) to withdraw its case against Ripple.

If Trump really wants the entire crypto market to go back up then he should tell the SEC to immediately withdraw the $XRP case 😁

The crypto market has struggled recently , and the bearish trend pushed Bitcoin below $80,000 for the first time in 2025. on the other hand, the SEC has recently dismissed multiple lawsuits and investigations against cryptocurrency companies, signaling a shift in its approach to regulation.

However, these have not helped the market recover. XRPcryptowolf suggests that dismissing the Ripple lawsuit, arguably the most high-profile case in the crypto space, could kickstart that recovery, and he is calling on Trump, the first-ever pro-crypto president to make the call.

His comments reflect a broader sentiment within the cryptocurrency community that regulatory clarity and supportive policies are pivotal for market growth.

The Shift in the SEC’s Enforcement Strategy

The SEC has recently shifted its enforcement approach under the new administration. Notably, the agency concluded its investigation into Uniswap Labs without pursuing enforcement action, signaling a potential change in its stance toward decentralized finance platforms. Similarly, the SEC dropped its investigation into Gemini , further indicating a possible softening of its regulatory posture.

These developments have ignited optimism among XRP supporters regarding the potential dismissal of the SEC’s case against Ripple. Former SEC official John Reed Stark highlighted the lawsuit dismissals as signs that the agency might withdraw its appeal in the Ripple lawsuit, suggesting a broader reevaluation of its crypto enforcement strategy.

Such a move could have profound implications for XRP and the wider cryptocurrency market, potentially paving the way for increased adoption and investment.

Will Trump Influence the Lawsuit?

Trump’s return to the presidency cemented the SEC’s shift toward a pro-crypto stance. Trump has already appointed pro-crypto officials to the SEC, and he could cement his legacy as the most influential president in the crypto space by calling for the dismissal of the Ripple lawsuit.

Ripple CEO Brad Garlinghouse has met with Trump multiple times since his election victory in November, and his actions to bolster the crypto market suggest that he understands the advantages of digital assets and the major role cryptocurrencies like XRP can play in global finance.

While Trump has not publicly called for the SEC to drop the Ripple lawsuit, his pro-crypto stance and ties with Ripple and its executives have given many community members hope that the president can save Ripple from the war on crypto.
