Billions Network launched a digital identity verification platform on February 28, 2025, offering a non-biometric alternative to systems like Worldcoin (CRYPTO:WLD).

The platform utilises zero-knowledge proof technology (Circom) to verify both human and AI identities without storing sensitive biometric data.

The company is positioning its platform as a privacy-focused solution in response to growing concerns about AI-driven fraud and the security of personal data.

The Billions Network's digital ID platform assigns each user a unique cryptographic code.

This code is generated using a combination of complex mathematical algorithms, making it virtually impossible to duplicate or forge.

According to Billions Network, their verification system has undergone testing by financial institutions, including Deutsche Bank and HSBC.

More than 9,000 projects, including TikTok and Worldcoin, have implemented its underlying verification framework, Circom.

The company is also working with the Indian government to integrate its system with Aadhaar, the country’s national identity framework.

Evin McMullen, CEO and co-founder of Billions Network, stated the platform aims to "enable users to prove their humanity, access a plethora of benefits, and provide legal, safe proof-of-uniqueness anytime, anywhere, and for everyone."

Unlike biometric-based verification models, the platform does not require proprietary hardware and offers token-based incentives for users.

Chainalysis’ Elad Fouks noted the increasing threat of AI-driven scams.

"GenAI is amplifying scams...by enabling high-fidelity, low-cost, and highly scalable fraud that exploits human vulnerabilities,” Fouks stated.

The Billions Network platform seeks to provide a solution that protects users from such threats while upholding their privacy rights.
