David Sacks opposes the proposal to tax cryptocurrency transactions
PANews reported on March 9th, according to Cointelegraph, in a recent All In Podcast episode, host Jason Calacanis proposed a 0.01% tax on each cryptocurrency transaction, calculated based on the assets transferred, purchased or sold. In response to this proposal, David Sacks, the White House Director of Cryptocurrency and Artificial Intelligence clearly opposed taxing crypto transactions. He believes that such taxes often start "moderately" but can easily expand over time to cover a wider range - for example income tax initially only targeted a minority group. A crypto transaction tax could potentially increase the burden on users.
