Wall Street Journal: Trump's team leans towards recommending Bowman for Vice Chairman of the Federal Reserve supervision
According to sources cited by The Wall Street Journal, President Trump's advisory team is inclined to recommend Federal Reserve Governor Bowman for the dual role of Vice Chairman in charge of banking supervision. After Trump took office in January, Barr resigned as the Fed's vice chairman overseeing banking supervision and retained only his governorship. Trump has not nominated a successor, leaving the position vacant. Some Republican lawmakers have been recommending Republican Bowman for the post, an idea also supported by Trump's advisors. In an interview on Sunday, Trump said he would announce relevant nominations in the near future.
