BREAKING: There Are Claims That The Ripple-SEC Lawsuit May Be Concluded Soon – Here’s The Latest Information

According to the latest development, Eleanor Terrett, one of the journalists dealing with the XRP case, reported that the case between Ripple and the SEC may be concluded soon as negotiations continue.

Ripple argues that its punishment is unfair if the new SEC leadership is backing down on enforcement actions against crypto firms. Accepting the decision would amount to admitting guilt, and the SEC itself has yet to take a definitive stance.

Eleanor Terrett said the following in her statement on the subject:

“My understanding is that the delay in reaching a settlement is due to Ripple’s legal team negotiating more favorable terms regarding the August district court ruling that fined the company $125 million and included a permanent injunction preventing the company from selling XRP to institutional investors.

The argument I was told was that if the new SEC administration is clearing the sanctions list for all previously targeted crypto firms because it believes regulatory clarity will solve the fundamental problem, why should Ripple still be penalized? Accepting the Torres decision at face value would mean that Ripple has essentially admitted to wrongdoing, but now the SEC itself seems unsure whether it did any wrongdoing.”
