Insider: World Network is in talks with Visa for stablecoin payment wallet cooperation
According to CoinDesk, sources revealed that Tools for Humanity, co-founded by OpenAI CEO Sam Altman, is in talks with payment giant Visa to link on-chain card functionality with self-hosted cryptocurrency wallets.
The collaboration aims to introduce Visa card functionality into the World Network wallet, providing fintech and foreign exchange applications, fiat currency deposit and withdrawal channels, and allowing users to make stablecoin-based payments to thousands of global Visa network merchants.
Insiders revealed that the plan will turn the World Wallet into a "mini bank account". Tools for Humanity has sent product request forms to card issuers. The World Network is also in talks with crypto card service provider Rain, which provides on-chain Visa card services for projects like Optimism and Avalanche.
